You fight against something that is already in the best economic interests of the US. Moving from coal to natural gas is already happening in the US, because we are the Saudi Arabia of NG. Why fight against that? Coal is dirtier and more expensive. Let it go.
The U.S. is the Saudi Arabia of both Coal and Natural Gas. Coal is dirtier, but it is relatively easy to clean. The reason it is more expensive is due to Obama's war on coal. It is an artificial price determined by the government actions rather than the free market.

I have absolutely no objection to using as much natural gas as possible. In fact, I love solar and wind as long as there is no government subsidy. And if the free market decided to abandon coal for other fuels, I would have no objection to it. But the free market didn't make the decision. Misinformed politicians made the decisions based on flawed information that was based on flawed models that were fed flawed raw data.

This has raised energy costs and it has raised government spending, which in turn raises our taxes. None of these things are good for the economic interests of the U.S.,
