Bush appointed Bernanke to the Board of Governors for a 14 year term. He is one of 6 board members.

Bush didn't appoint Bernanke as Fed Chairman to the current term in 2009. Obama did. The QE programs didn't happen when Bush was President.

QE is a direct result of Obama appointing Bernanke as FED Chairman in 2009

Now you say it. Obama appointed Bernanke as Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System in 2009.
