dlucas; RE:" HNZ and DIS " Yeah I see that gap on HNZ you're talkin' about, man. They came out with earnings today; I'll tack on some news to this post.MICKEY MUST DIE !!! {giggle} That weekly chart is telling me DIS is good for -10% on the underlying - I am sorely tempted by the 90 PUTs. ...got kinda interested in the CEX.X S&P Chemical index, which seemed like a weaker part of the overall S&P today. Turns out that that the (weighted) components of this index are... 34.72 = DD 13.00 = MTC 11.36 = DOW 5.02 = PPG 4.26 = APD 3.38 = PX 2.89 = ROH 2.84 = UK 2.65 = IFF 2.65 = GRA 2.40 = EMN 2.39 = MII 1.79 = SIAL 1.64 = ECL 1.39 = FMC 1.34 = GLK 1.33 = EC 1.33 = NLC 1.21 = GR ...kinda like the SOX.X - which is heavily weighted by INTC - So DD and MTC up there at the top - sending out all kindsa candlestick "sell" signals. But the CEX.X index looks just like a copy of the overall (DOW) market, really. Had fun looking it up, though. So like, Minnie Mouse sends Mickey Mouse to see the psychiatrist. Mickey talks to the Doc for a couple of hours. Later, Minnie Mouse goes over to talk to the Doc about Mickey. "Minnie", says the Doc, "Mickey may be a little depressed, but he's not insane". Minnie Mouse says, "I didn't say he was crazy, Doc - I said he was f***ing Goofy". -Steve Tuesday December 9 6:13 PM EST Heinz Profits Rose 6 Percent in Latest Quarter PITTSBURGH (Reuters) - H.J. Heinz Co. said Tuesday profits rose 6 percent to almost $190 million in its latest quarter despite one-time restructuring costs and lower sales. Net income for its second fiscal quarter ended Oct. 29 grew to $188.9 million, or 51 cents a share, from $177.5 million, or 47 cents a share, a year earlier. The latest results included nonrecurring costs of $12.4 million, or 3 cents a share, related to the company's reorganization. Sales fell to $2.26 billion from $2.39 billion as a result of divestitures, the company said. "Heinz is on track to produce excellent earnings results at the end of our fiscal year," Chairman Anthony O'Reilly said in a statement.
