Yes, they are plentiful here as well. The forest is so thick and they are so small it would be near impossible to hunt them out. I would guess maybe they are the best tasting deer as they are so mild tasting. Looks like you will have fine eating all winter. Had a perfect time with the kids, their kids and their friends. Nicest kids on earth. All of them are so sensitive and nice, clean cut and fun loving, but not prudes. Weather was 60's and calm. The two guys dug a hole in the sand when we first got there and laid a plank across it. The kids spent half their time in that hole-lol? Kids like holes in the sand. I am so happy they are such nice kids. All I ever asked for. They are all highly educated, but I still have to be gentle with them as they have less life experience and their egos are fragile.
