Jay: there is no need to be 100% bearish, the problem is that fear has evaporated and everybody is 0% bearish, the general assumption is that there is no risk to stocks. Lessons learned in previous generations are lost to memory. I went to college in the 70s with kids whose parents lost their tuition money by investing it in mutual funds. They bought in when things looked their best and sold when they looked their worst. Bear markets are horrible things.
