It was only inevitable that so-called evangelical Christianity, one of many offshoots of Protestantism, was bound to stray far from traditional Orthodox Christianity, and fall into total confusion. After all, Protestantism denies the concept of Apostolic Tradition, and therefore is left anchorless. Once there is a denial of the explicit teaching of the New Testament to follow Holy Tradition, the whole garment begins to unravel. One protestant says he doesn't feel he has to follow this tradition or that one, and another gets the idea that he can toss out the ones he doesn't like. That's why Protestant churches continue to split endlessly, and there are thousands of different sects which don't share any unity or common beliefs. Protestantism means making up your own faith to suit yourself, and not submitting in obedience to the Church. Is it any wonder that Protestantism is lost a sea?

Graham was just a "creation" of Hearst in the early 50's. He never had that much influence in the grass roots church anyway. They all paid tribute to him but he didn't have any real influence.
