Thanks Mario, yes it was from your posts and Snowshoe's i heard about Adblock Plus ... works for you that way on Google Chrome, but not for me on Internet Explorer, where hitting the reply button gets you to the typing window which displays 'Loading' in the white space, and stays that way, won't let you type [edit] - same as Joe Fixer here - Message 29225816 Got this working for now - open one SI window while disabled, enable and put up second window for reading, use first to post, seems to work because the window stays set in whichever mode it was started in ... [edit] - which is pretty much the fix JF got so far in reply ... it works Isn't Google Chrome known for collecting more of your information than others? ... presumably to sell to the highest bidder, and you don't get a written commitment that they exclude Mossad and the Stasi ... a young fellow around here says Firefox is the most secure and private of the common browsers, have to check that out ... along that line, this search engine that LC posted in the resources ghetto sure works great - duckduckgo.com Adblock or something very like it is going to be necessary even if a person can choke down sending cash to a Nevada corporation with the avowed intention of setting up 'sponsored' stock promotion boards, because there has to be a way to deal with the dropdown stuff ... then if you can find a way to shrink the five and a quarter inches (5.25 bloody inches) from top of page down to the bottom of the ugly pink box, it'll be the nineties again, except with an overhanging sense of dread
