And they hang on to local variations as valid science while denying the macro scientific picture. Remember the last election? Specifically the 'unskewing' of the polls. These guys are used to editing their reality to fit their preconcieved notions. It gets reinforced in their parallel media until it becomes their reality. That is OK, I suppose, but when they interact with the reality-based they come off as delusional. Which only reinforces their denial of reality. Epistemic closure at its finest. Throw in a healthy dose of Dunning-Kruger and, voilà, you have Wankers...
