You should probably take into account that ObamanableCare is proving so unpopular Democrats who voted for it are scared for their jobs. Maintaing opposition to a horrible law was both principled and rational from a political standpoint.

This from Sowell : More important, the Tea Party was an insurgent movement that was not trying to impose some untried Utopia, but to restore the lost heritage of America that had been eroded, undermined or just plain sold out by professional politicians. And your response : Tea Party was an angry reaction to a large extent to hand outs to the bankers. You whiffed on the essence of TS column. Third parties have been an unmitigated failure and yet , you summarize : Finally, we need at least a third party and I'd say we should probably have 5 national parties so people can have adequate choices. If only reality were a pill....
