Yes, Seattle is liberal minded. The younger generation are being weaned completely off privacy expectations. Look at all the people using gmail *after* it's been revealed that everything you use it for us combed through and sold by corporate hacks. Ditto google searches, etc.

I saw an article the other day talking about the "marshall law" in Boston after the bombing -- there was no such declaration, just police forcing themselves into homes etc. without subpoenas. No outcry there, either... not a peep that I ever heard.

The construction of the BBrother complex is from so many directions... RFID tags?? You buy something at the gap and they report your tag to zee authorities and you can get tracked that way??

Years ago, I heard a term applied to Sweden: spectator nation. That's the US of A now. Think Romans and the NFL, er, gladiators.
