Fred, I want to believe that valence is that great a deal in the worst way. I read ULBI's and Valence's last 10Qs this morning and you are correct about ULBI operating at a loss so far. However, they are the only ones that I know of that are shipping a product to an OEM. With the lack of an OEM announcment from Valence and all of the management turmoil it must make ULBI more viable in the eyes of most investors.
I'm still long but at this point I don't have much choice.

PS: If I recall, the first ULBI batteries shipped to Mitsubishi were manufactured on the line while it was still in Florida. Am I wrong?

FMK,
if all goes well and all the lines start producing a product that's been sold to OEMs then of course we'll see a big surge in the price. That's what we're waiting for here now some time, aren't we?.
BTW i think i have never seen that the company officialy announced that the lines are working. I heard it from different people here but it's all a matter of trust in that information and in person who often not even risk to mention their real name. As far as i can see there is nothing about the lines on their website...
So, That's the kind of environment and that's the kind of PR/Investor relations i'm living with. My insecurity is great since i haven't been to N.Ireland and i don't know anybody who has and i don't have a friend in my company that delievers stuff to Northern Ireland etc. I'm just a simple investor who by accident stumbled across this stock/story and had a good feeling with it. Otherwise i live in an information vaccuum in regard of the official news from our beloved company. I don't follow the ULBI thread but what i heard here is that they do things differently. Maybe that's why their stock price is higher. I can also rationalize the closed mouth policy when i had a lawsuit pending accusing me of inflating the stock price. But i actually READ that's behind us now. So why not loosen up a little bit and let us know a little bit more?
I want to be a believer but i'm in a weak moment now since i know a little bit about technical analysis. IF i didn't know anything about the STORY of the stock i would have sold my shares quiet some time ago. So there i am gambling on second hand information...that's where my insecurity comes from.
