While others will have to bog down their systems by having the CPU perform periferal functions, the GX will have these functions integrated on the chip in hardware. This will allow low cost GX systems to outperform systems using competing CPUs at the same Mhz and in the same price range. That will be a nice switch. Of course, OEMs will have another option -- just use the GX.

While these stripped-down 200-MHz machines might end up performing more like a standard 133-MHz computer because of the shift of functions back to the central processor, they will be cheap.
