You would think being energy independent and balancing energy needs, with safety, costs and the environment would by the primary goals along with helping set future trends in the fast growing BRIC countries. The air is much cleaner in NYC and LA than 40 years ago something the Chinese cities really need to get a handle on.. Why again does our MIC cost us well over a trillion a year 'protecting' us from small fish living in huts in the middle east? Still not sure if what we do or what China does is worse for mankind long term. Your thoughts appreciated
