He IS Jonah. He's sitting under the shade of the tree waiting for God to destroy the country he hates. And he's frustrated that God hasn't done it yet. Just like Jonah. I wonder if God has taken away his tree lately.

The Bible is full of the promises and commitments of God's love for humanity. It is equally full of the declarations that man will do just about anything to avoid becoming adopted into the family of God and receiving his promise of salvation. The Welsh revival lasted 2 years. Probably similar to the jesus people revival of the late 60's and early 70's in the US…which has morphed into a mass merchandizing extravaganza that bears little resemblance to 1st century believers.
