The White House "will announce a plan for allowing insurance companies to continue offering existing individual insurance policies even if they fall short of the coverage standards set by the 2010 health-care law," the Wall Street Journal reports.

Too little too late--politically that is. The President should have been out there on day one of the cancellation notices saying "We will make good on my promise." Now this announcement going is to be perceived as caving to the legislation being introduced by the Democratic Senators offering an extension to people who want keep their own plans.
