Jeffrey, I will probably always want to have a five-foot C/KU
dish as well as the 18" dishes. The music is great that's
available via satellite, too (C & KU), and in fact I just
recently purchased a DMX (Digital Music Express) system, too.
This system (owned by TCI) will soon offer 120 24-Hour Music
Channels. They have an uplink facility with like millions of
CDs, apparently. This service costs approx. $15. per month, but
the receiver is kind of expensive (circum 700.). I am one of
the first 1000 residential customers to have bought one of
these receivers. Although you and I love our C/KU dishes, most
consumers don't want to bother with turning a dish, and most
don't like big dishes. Interesting post. Sounds like direct
broadcast is actually indirect.
