Agreed. We need some big OEMs. I'm sick of waiting for next month, and the next...

Bob,

I have been talking the same thing on Cyrix marketing.

Like it or not, consumers feel deceived from Cyrix PR ratings and would not buy the Cyrix PR rating based 6x86 systems as not too many of them were sure if the PR rating was accurate or not.

The PR rating killed NexGen and destroyed 6x86 and 6x86MX. Hope that NSM will dump PR Rating very soon.

I bought a MX-PR166 $85 at Fry's. This MX-PR166 is a 60x2.5 (150Mhz). It runs perfectly at 83x2 @2.8V on every motherboards that I tried. What kind of Cyrix marketing is it?

My sympathy goes out to all Cyrix sufferers!
I moved my dough to Unisys.
They have a whole room full of 10 processor machines working
together making a noise...clink clink, another sale rang up!
Soon there will be 32 processor machines running NT 3 years ahead
industry expectation, and then this will be a $50.00 stock and I will
be going clink clink as I deposit my profit!

Now you know why I wasn't thrilled about Tobak getting on with NSM.
That guy was obviously in way over his head. So was Swent.
Cyrix had the worst marketing I've seen in a long time...
No MediaGX notebook a year after its introduction is just plain pathetic.
Best news we've had this year is the 220MMX GXm. Something actually ahead of schedule. A pleasant surprise.
