ORCL - Incredible. Just think about the profits the market makers made on that stock, especially given that it was in a fast market all day, the fastest ever. Imagine if these firms made just a 1/16 on 10% of the trades! Imagine if they made more on a larger percentage!

I didn't screen cam it because it really wasn't 'exciting', lots of volume, but it really only traded in a point or two range and didn't move around so quickly.

Remember on the options, just like any security, there are two sides. If someone is buying calls, some is selling. Maybe someone was buying stock and selling calls to reduce costs and protect against sideways action.

Now come the margin calls and the second day of pressure, those who didn't read about the hoopla until this morning or last nite and come in with sell orders.

Thats a tough break for that stock, good company, widely held, a real shame for longer term investors. The market is brutal, it doesnt know you, doesnt care about you.

Regards,
Steve
