Any links to something that supports this? For example, a Gallup poll of scientists would do. Oh that's right! Gallup already did this and *you lost*. Judith Curry has published something like 150 peer reviewed scientific papers mostly on climate. She has a blog. And she wrote a post on the subject of the opinions of the professional community from the polling data obtained by Lianne Lefsrud and Renate Meyer that showed that there is no consensus: AGW Skeptics in the Professional Community Judity Curry, July 15, 2013We show that the consensus of IPCC experts meets a much larger, and again heterogenous, sceptical group of experts in the relevant industries and organizations (at least in Alberta) than is generally assumed. We find that climate science scepticism is not limited to the scientifically illiterate, but well ensconced within this group of professional experts with scientific training – who work as leaders or advisors to management in governmental, non-governmental, and corporate organizations . judithcurry.com The whole reason behind the "consensus" claim was to shut off debate on the subject. It didn't work. Debate continues. The AGW folks never had a consensus, but they did once have a majority. And now that is collapsing. -- Carl P.S. It was only quite recently that the community acknowledged that the climate models failed in predicting the temperature pause, and that the pause had lasted long enough to be significant. Consequently when you look for polling data on scientific opinions, you will need to restrict yourself to polls carried out in, say, 2012 or 2013. Climate science is a young field. Facts move fast and opinions on facts move with them.
