Tom:

>> ...<<biotech stocks more often than not go down after expected good news>>

Maybe--in that case I'll just hold on. In fact, I think that Miljenko is hoping for
something like this to happen.<<

This is not my position, and I do own DEPO.

>>Some people like Miljenko probably view me as a jackal (or some other animal of inferior cognitive status) because I sell some stocks short, and do some trading. But I understand why I am investing, do nothing illegal or unethical, and make postings in the directions that I invest.<<

I do not think so.
I view you as any other person posting on SI. Difference is that you do have significant knowledge in bt and ability for correct decision in investing. You and others can trade DEPO (or any other stock) ten times a day. It is nothing unethical in that.

I stated that, IMO, it will be healthy for DEPO stock price to hold current level and after tax-selling is done let investors, based on DEPO prosperity, bring (rise or decline) stock price to correct (market) value.

Tom: This stock is looking ugly. Down to 14 1/8 bid and nobody's buying? Tax selling?

Tom D

<<< I could have made the same point by posting that I sold all of my other stocks and went on margin to buy all the DEPO that I could prudently (?) afford.>>>

Gee, hasn't everyone done this yet.

Tom, it's obvious you are a generous man. i say that just because you have been so nice and helpful to evrybody on this thread, me included.

No, you have not turned the last post into a sermon. It was very nice to know a little about your life as a doctor and a good community leader.

I have been very hesitant in posting the number of shares being bought and at what time. We never know who is going to read these post, along with all the kind and normal investing crowd, there might be a criminal who lives three blocks away from me. But it's just my thinking.

The market is in a free fall at the time of this posting, DEPO hit $14 today but personally I don't pay too much attention to this kind of indiscriminate selling. The world is not over yet. And if it is, who cares if I lose some money.

Good luck to all.

>>Thanks to biotech profits, in July '98 I am leaving my full-time job in private practice to work half-time in a clinic for the indigent, freeing up more time for more work in shelters.>>

Lets see, according to your posts you certainly hold ample amounts of DEPO however you're over 60% margined and probably higher now given the depo dip. If I were you I'd put a hold on any retirement party until Depo goes up otherwise that stash you were planning on having in July may be a lot thinner than you expect. Perhaps you have enough money to weather any crisis. I expect the drug to get approved, but I don't foresee a cakewalk either. Arrogance has led even better men to rags. I'll be at ODAC if anyone cares to meet up, let me know. Tom, with so much at stake, will you be attending?

I have been keeping an eye on this thread and have a small investment in DEPO. While you have provided me with lots of info about this stock, it has been my own research that convinced me to invest in DEPO.
I am very moved - especially at this time of the year - by your message and personal contributions. Should I make some money off DEPO, I would like to share some of the profits with the clinic you volunteer in.
