Now getting to the data in the first column, you can see that the belief that global warming exists and is mostly human caused was supported by only 78%. Therefore 22% disagreed.

Well, no...22% don't disagree. I would urge you to examine the make up of the 22...only 2% disagree. The rest seem to be unsure or think both human and natural causes are to blame but don't assign ratio to each.

Only 2% flatly disagree.

But the alarmists claim 97 to 98% consensus. Sorry, no consensus.

A number of studies have been conducted which have analyzed thousands of reviewed papers and they conclude that there is overwhelming consensus on the subject. Do a little research on these...they are pretty easily found.

Look, we've made some progress. There was a time when deniers denied all....GW was a hoax to them. There are still some who feel this way but their numbers are decreasing rapidly. That's a good trend, to use your word.

Lastly, it should be readily apparent to you that technology which reduces C emissions are both good for the planet (and all life on it), and for the economic ecosystem. Don't view calls for progress on this as economically disruptive at all...the very opposite is far more likely.
