jpmac, hi. Off topic, I guess. I like the possibility that if we reelee screw up we can beg (Jill) for a do-over. It's a big, satisfying deal. A final resort. Which may even work. "I've really been an idiot. I need your help. Please, please, erase my idiocy." I can't think (not saying much there) of another place in modern society that delivers so on this possibility. Where you can make a complete, concrete fool of yourself; in front of well everyone, or a zillion at least; and get it erased. In "the world", even if you beg, you may still have this feeling it is more prominent than ever. More examined, more critical, more more more. There's no way you can get away with just saying "I was an idiot. Please would you pull my post."

Not with Jill. She is a sweet mistress of absolution.

I'm guessing removing a post is not the redemption of life to her, it is to us. Yah; but that's the way gods are.

I recommend that if an SI person has not had the experience of panicking and then sending an e-mail to HQ to beg forgiveness, that they go and have the experience. (At the right time of course; don't be goin and pestering Jill unless you've been a fool and know it and the proof is in past-edit silicon cement insisting you beg.)

It is fulfilling.
