I see Goldworldnet has already built and uses a 64 bit system. Sorry about "preaching to the converted"...

I have 16GB Ram on my Win7-64, but haven't experimented with virtual machine. This is something I'll have to investigate more. I use my Vista-32 and Win7-64 machines networked together on my desk and use a KVM switch. After this FX-6300 system is complete I'll make it the newer member of my twin desktop and I can semi-retire my Vista-32. This KVM switch is great. I can load one computer down with processing and simply toggle to the other machine.

I use AVS4YOU, but recently discovered HandBrake which is another video converter. Its big strength is making mp4 and mkv files. For minimal filesize vs quality, HandBrake is the best I've found and it's also free. One of the really nice features is that HandBrake by default, removes black borders from video files although cropping can be set to zero if desired. This feature and the fact that it's free makes the program a must have for anyone frequently editing video since no video program does it all.
