REPORT: VALERIE JARRETT LED SECRET IRAN TALKS

The Times Of Israel is reporting that a team of negotiators led by White House adviser Valerie Jarrett has been conducting secret talks with Iran about it's nuclear weapons program for the past year. The report states the deal submitted in Geneva earlier this month was a direct result of these secret year-long negotiations between teams headed by Jarrett and Iran's Ali Akbar Salehi. That deal was ultimately rejected when France and Israel raised strong objections, and talks are expected to resume this Wednesday.

The White House was very quick to issue a categorical denial of the report. According to White House spokesperson Bernadette Meehan, "Those rumors are absolutely, 100 percent false."

If this report is found to be accurate despite the administration's fast denial, the fact that Jarrett is leading the U.S. negotiating team on Iran's nuclear weapons program is very troubling. She does not appear to have any foreign policy experience or history of being involved in such high level negotiations of this nature.

Obama booed at college basketball game
.....................................................................................
American Thinker ^ | 11/18/2013 | Thomas Lifson

While families across the Midwest were reeling from tornadoes and storm damage, President Obama spent four hours playing golf Sunday (his 151st round of golf as president) and then took in a college basketball game at the University of Maryland. The Maryland Terrapins were taking on the Oregon State Beavers, coached by Michelle's older brother Craig Robinson. What a great day for the president! His two favorite sports in one day. What, me worry?

But it was not all sweetness and light. You see, the fans actually booed him. And people were Tweeting about it. (via Fire Andrea Mitchell):

The Associated Press delicately reported the boos thusly:

The Obamas were greeted by applause and some boos as they took their seats near courtside at the Comcast Center

But the picture above would seem to indicate the President was hearing more boos than applause. Look at the expression on his face, especially the eyes.

Even with all the golf and courtside seats ( and Air Force One for jaunts to the Costa del Sol and other upscale resorts), it's going to be a lot less fun being Obama than it used to be for the next three years.

If Obama becomes more and more unpopular as Obamacare harms more and more people, Obama may find the truth behind the old saying, "Be careful what you wish for."

Palin kills Matt Lauer interview over Martin Bashir slur
...........................................................................................
By Howard Kurtz November 20, 2013
foxnews.com

It's no secret that Sarah Palin is mighty steamed at MSNBC and Martin Bashir over his despicable remarks about the abusive treatment he imagines for her.

And now she's doing something about it.

The former Alaska governor and Fox News contributor was scheduled to sit down with Matt Lauer for a Christmas season interview. That's now toast.

Palin has now canceled Lauer's scheduled trip to Wasilla, a source close to her tells me. It's not because Palin is upset with Lauer or the "Today" show, but as a protest against NBC for not taking action against Bashir. In fact, Palin once sat in as a "Today"co-host.

Tim Crawford, treasurer of Palin's political action committee, had told NBC News President Deborah Turness and MSNBC President Phil Griffin that "Americans deserve to know that your network doesn't condone violent and hateful rhetoric."

Bashir apologized to Palin and to viewers Monday for his comments, which he called "totally unacceptable." In response to a speech in which she likened the national debt to slavery, the onetime "Nightline" co-anchor said Palin should be subjected to an ancient slavery punishment in which someone would defecate and urinate in her mouth.

MSNBC has not suspended Bashir, despite imposing a two-week suspension on another talk show host, actor Alec Baldwin, for hurling an anti-gay slur
at a photographer outside his New York apartment.

The network has had nothing to say publicly about Bashir's sliming of Palin.
