That has been documented as a Democrat policy debacle. Tragic in proportions. Look up all the youtubes of the Republican administration warning congress, warning Barney Frank....by they just ignored it. They said everything is fine.

Well, I lived through it and it didn't seem petty at the time. And as part of the solution, many banks were shuttered and CEOs went to jail. We also create the Resolution Trust Corporation to help wind things down. We resolved that crisis in a responsible way. This time around, Obama has simply swept all the problems under the rug with a tsunami of stimulus. No one of any importance has gone to jail and all the incentives to continue to commit crimes are still there. He's worthless as a President. After all, if the President refuses to execute the laws on the books, then what use is he as leader of the Executive Branch?
