you might check with the folks over on the "kahuna" thread. I bought a bunch of BEARX and RYURX, that's all I have, the mutual funds are good seatbelts during whipsaw episodes. my intent was to sell some off after a good correction to pick up longs. If you're looking for a short-term trade, I can't figure out what keeps bay supported, if you want a S&P short try TROW or SCH. they're overpriced enough to make better shorts than a SPY or MDY short. And then there's the real thing short: KO. I don't do options, maybe some of the options folks have good ideas (thread?) I'm confused,too, as there's wonderful buys in small and microcaps, they've corrected and look like they're ready to head higher. I just don't want to get crushed holding them as in March.

Jay,,,one thing that concerns me about these "rolling bears" is that ,in the case of say ORCL,,a lot of money just vanished into thin air,,,,this leaves less to buy stocks with,,,never mind how one evaluates a stock's worth,,,willing and ABLE must be the purchaser.. there seems to be this prevalent assumption that there's always enough money around to buy stocks at a the percieved trendy evaluations...As far as the rolling bears,,Zeev, and Mohan pointed out that the only bull sector right now is very safety oriented,,,this shows a nervous sentiment at best, and gives the impression that like yourself,,the ones who are still ABLE, are concerned...
