it's a bit more complicated than that because they had some different classifications
(premium, regular, etc.) of members in the past AND they allowed members (in a couple
of promotional deals) to designate friends for a free lifetime membership but did not
make it clear that these folks would be getting strings attached that might cause a
problem like this.
