To expand on my earlier comment, this means the Ins co's will be asked to take the Gov's word that the premiums have been paid in Dec, because the Gov won't be able to process them by that time. If I were the Corporate Lawyer for the Ins Co, I would refuse that demand.


Obama has the stash to make anybody that he wants to be happy.

December? Try, for the next two years! The payments system hasn't even been built yet! A payments system is far more complicated than a shopping portal, which is all that Healthcare.gov is today.

Like Bob Laszewski says, this is like a bank opening its doors before it can process checks or send monthly statements. If a private sector business tried this, they would be in jail for fraud already.
