The execution isn't really that bad...getting into their system to actually place the trade or getting your actual account balance is another thing altogether ! A number of things still bother me about etrade. It sometimes takes my browser 10-15 seconds to load their screens...and that's using a 56k modem. Their system is obviously overloaded..regardless of what they say. They can't even update customer balances in real time !! Not only are my balances seldom correct (I make a few trades daily, but on a number of occasions I have placed orders that have been canceled due to insufficient funds when the funds were there from a transaction that I had just closed out..obviously this caused me to miss the order..I have also had them cancel for the same reason and reinstate the trade minutes later...obviously at a diferent price if I was foolish enough to place a market order ! The last time I talked to someone in customer service about this they acted as if the above shouldn't be a problem for customers..not only that but they had a bad attitute as well. With all their customers and money you would think they could update account balances in real time...I mean they have that information somewhere or else how could they allow trades ? They need a better software development team I believe. I can't wait to transfer my account...was thinking of Datek, but then I heard they had problems too...familiar with Suretrade ? Who are you using..is it working well ?
