Public education should be free like in Denmark andf maybe even stipends to help living expenses. So the money issue is a non issue in my mind. And it should start at 2.5 years, With hot meals and paid 100% by our taxes. I cannot believe I am arguing with anyone over the importance for all people to develop their minds as much as possible. That is a truism! And it matters little what ones major is, it is the total educational experience that is important. And I would like to see our garbage collectors with BA degrees to the extent possible. Pay them enough and they will do it. I and many lawyers and graduate folks worked out of the laborers union on the Alaska pipeline. For a while I believe we were the most educated laborers union in the nation. We did a fine job to. And our being so educated helped everyone else a lot in the civilization department-lol! E.g. we did not allow the southern pipe liners beat up the blacks (lol); and we helped a lot of uneducated folks learn some stuff they might not have learned.
