OK, best I can tell, Rickards thinks that the Fed will --

1. succeed in causing inflation, or

2. will not succeed in causing inflation as fast as they want to cause it, and will then start buying gold.

In either case, the price of gold will rise.

He does not believe in owning any funds, ETFs, futures, or paper gold of any kind. Just gold itself.

I wonder if he would exclude CEF.
