If you were really serious about this idea you would put that background in statistics to use and extrapolate into the vast universe of the entire US population and see what kind of results a statistical analysis of the situation would produce. I'm guessing the answer would be far different than the one you have drawn from your own very limited personal universe. Any person with a background in statistics would recognize the wisdom of this. Or better yet, see what data has been already been extracted here by prior researchers. This would be a starting point to grasp the current realty of the situation. No?
