Joe,

I "think" that MediaGX is running on 80Mhz system bus speed. With the fine tune on BIOS timing, most 60ns EDO are capable to run on 80Mhz bus speed.

In order to compete with MediaGX on costs and prices, "Intel only" box makers, such as HP, PB or even CPQ, have to eliminate the L2 cache or adopt the chipsets with VGA chipset build-in. Both seriously degrade the allready not-so-good Pentium system performance. It would turn a Pentium MMX 200 to run as fast as a 133Mhz system.

If these Intel only OEMs sell enough of these crippled systems, Intel will be well known as the manufacturers of slow chip in no time!
