CJ, I like how, right after you accuse Blasher of "spouting talking points," you immediately regurgitate the Occupy talking points.

'CJ' .. please think about it . . .
Do you work for a poor person ??
Were things really that good in the 1930's and 1970's when there were a far less percentage of rich people ??
haven't things been so much better since 1980 when the number of rich people (millionaires and billionaires) have been increasing greatly ??
Forget talking points . . just think about it for yourself.
What makes sense to you.
There is no need for us to argue about it.

Exactly! The guy has no idea of how economics works.

Oh, bullshit. You are the one spouting talking points. The country was far from being a third world country when the 1% accounted for 7% of the income. We had an actual middle class then. And it is the middle class who is the job creators. The 1% are just rentiers.

Outside of the US, countries with our level of wealth disparity are 3rd world countries. Historically speaking, when an empire concentrates enough of its wealth in few enough hands, it starts to decline. The 1% will turn us into a 3rd world country.
