The thing about people like CJ is that their happiness is not defined by how well they are doing or how much their own standards of living has improved since 1980. Instead, their own happiness is defined by how well the so-called "99%" is doing relative to the "one percent."

In other words, I should shut up and be appropriately grateful to my betters...

Go fuck yourself, Tenchu. I favor the engine that drives our economy, not a bunch of greedy bastards who don't realize the damage they are doing to the country. The middle class has been in a stagnant position, when it isn't losing ground for 3 decades. Those are the facts.

Everybody but the moocher class has been shut out of productivity increases for decades. That is bad for the economy. Wealth concentrations are bad for the economy, just ask Adam Smith. It perverts the marketplace, makes the playing field uneven. Because more Money means you can hire more lobbyists and that raises the odds you will be able to write the legislation that hobbles your competitors and benefits you. And you can tie your innovative competitors up in court until they go bankrupt. The market only operates efficiently when everyone is roughly the same size. Otherwise, the markets are no longer competitive.
