I think we need to fight for free education. Education is free or near free in most Scandinavian countries. If they can do it we can do it. And the social results of that free education are readily apparent e.g. they are years ahead of us as civilized and happy societies. One can learn a trade and get an education. They are not mutually exclusive. I almost had enough hours to get vested in the laborers union. I learned many trades in my life and got a good education. The rich, academics and Jewish community educate most of their kids to college level, I think. I have been looking for research on it. The kids have two trillion, I think, in student debt. That is obscene. Tuition and financial aid system[ edit] Almost all educational institutes in Denmark are free. This tuition-less system applies to all students: who have been born in Denmark (including the Faroe Islands and Greenland); who hold a permanent resident visa; who hold a humanitarian visa; from countries in the Nordic Council; from countries in the European Economic Area or European Union. Not only is there no tuition charged to the students, all Danish citizens (and many others meeting certain criteria) are offered monthly financial aid, called "SU" (Statens Uddannelsesstøtte which translates to The State's Educational Support), which totals about DKK 2,728 monthly if the student lives with his/her parents or guardians, and about DKK 5,486 monthly if the student lives away from his/her parents or guardians.
