Kathleen, with iles in his name he can't be all bad. Recently he noticed that DRAM prices have been going down not up and he even went so far as to forecast that MU would lose money this Q ... so I'd say he's a slow learner but he's getting on the right track. And maybe his BUY recommendation is really just a sly way of saying HOLD ... 'cause on the face of it, it's hard to take seriously ... he's forecasting a loss this quarter and then a 'ramp' to .14 in the Aug. quarter on the presumption a) that the Koreans will slow down ... they undoubtedly won't be building as much new capacity but I think they have every incentive to run existing capacity as hard as possible and b) that this will turn the memory market around ... what about all the new fabs coming on-line in Taiwan and the U.S.? So reading between the lines I think Dan has really come up with a very clever way to tip his clients to a change in sentiment while keeping his BUY recommendation intact ... actually, his employment contract with Robbie Stephens limits him to either BUY, STRONG BUY or REALLY FRIGGIN' STRONG BUY recommendations!!!

'MU ............ hard rains a gonna fall'

regards, Mike
