I'm back from the Christmas shows, and I see you people have been going crazy with the possum stories, titles, etc. Christams cookies is a nice try for a change...

May I suggest going to (good) Craft Shows for shopping??

christmas humor corteousy of some Nashvillites:

------------------

Santa was very cross. It was Christmas Eve and NOTHING was going
right. Mrs Claus had burned all the cookies. The elves were complaining
about not getting paid for the overtime they had
while making the toys. The reindeer had been drinking all
afternoon and were dead drunk. To make matters worse, they
had taken the sleigh out for a spin earlier in the day and
had crashed it into a tree.

Santa was furious. "I can't believe it! I've got to deliver
millions of presents all over the world in just a few hours - all of my reindeer are drunk, the elves are on strike and I don't even
have a Christmas tree! I sent that stupid Little Angel out HOURS
ago to find a tree and he isn't even back yet! What am I going to do?"

Just then, the Little Angel opened the front door and stepped in
from the snowy night, dragging a Christmas tree. He says
"Yo, fatman! Where do you want me to stick the tree this year?"

And thus the tradition of angels atop the Christmas trees came to pass...... >>

I love the CW Christmas cookie story. You're a wonderful mom to have provided a happy ending to the cookie disaster.

Every year I make those Swedish Christmas cookies--loaded with butter. But now, apparently, butter is preferable to margarine so it's okay to indulge. Just have some red wine and olive oil along with the butter to unclog the arteries.

One Christmas present idea: a little gadget from Williams Sonoma that froths milk so you can have capuccino with very little fuss. Costs about $20 and works perfectly. I now have capuccino every morning and even though part of the thing broke, it still works. It's that simple.

I'm dreading Christmas. Don't even know if a tree will work because my little abysinnian will tear down every ornament. Of course my family will insist, so I'll have an added chore: tree watcher. That on top of stock watching just might do me in. If my stocks start doing better, I'll miraculously have more Christmas spirit.

Do you think if I search really hard, I can find a possum tree ornament? I already have a little lizard ornament.....
