We enjoyed "The Intouchables", too, in fact my wife bought a couple DVDs to give as gifts.

My late dad was program manager for the lead ship of the class of ship portrayed in "Captain Phillips" (USS Bainbridge, built here in Bath, Maine) and I may well have attended the launch or Christening of the Bainbridge, so it meant a little extra to see her in the film.

Incidentally, "All is Lost" was pretty good too. I was asked to do a pre-screening with a reporter who wanted to get the take of experienced sailors. While there were a lot of technical 'mistakes' made, I thought the movie was reasonably good and entertaining. A lot of my sailor-friends think the movie was ridiculous; any good sailor wouldn't do half the foolish things Robert Redford did. I counter by saying there are quite a few inexperienced folks out there. Link to the article:
