Nothing from Google goes "poof". It just goes to a different place under Chrome.

Chrome also provides automatic backups of documents, pictures, videos, etc and stores it in the free storage they give you, 5GB I think. You can upgrade that to 15GB for about $2. Chrome also works well with Apple's iCloud and the separate Skycloud. All 3 taken together, you have tons of free storage all floating around in the heavens, er... cloud. And BTW: if you're a Prime Amazon member, they have their own cloud you can put stuff in.

The real trick is to remember just which one you used for what. :-)
