Re: Announcing the FBN Hall of Indignity

Inductee #1: Mike Irving, IR rep for ATEC -- 10/3/97
Does anyone doubt that ATECs' future is not BRITE? I better buy new sunglasses!

ATEC was trading at 1.60 at the time and then stunned everyone by announcing a 1 for 5 reverse-split. It proceeded to go straight downhill, losing more than half its value to 3.75 (post reverse-split).

Inductee #2: Douglas Woolridge, TPI President -- 11/11/97
As we assist Dofasco to meet their objectives, we anticipate that this initial engagement will generate several million dollars in revenue and believe that substantial additional revenues will be derived from the project as it matures.
When asked for comment, Dofasco responded "These postings would lead the reader to believe that a contract existed between Dofasco and TPI and that this contract was 'significant'. This is not the case." TPII climbed from 60 to as high as 75 cents the day of the release before tanking over the next month to 35 cents.

Any more to add?
