Kirce: No, MSFT doesn't say business is great 3 weeks before an earnings disappointment. ORCL has a history of this, and I'm guessing that they'll have to pay off a shareholders suit before this is over.

Just MHO.

K,

With regard to your comment that MSFT should be down 30% too:

1) Did msft miss earnings by 20%?

2) Does ORCL have a seperate account of 2,000,000,000 dollars to smooth out earnings shortfalls?

3) Have you checked to see if MSFT and ORCL have a slight disparity on profit margins?

4) Does ORCL have a monopoly in the database market?

5) Did ORCL say exactly what e would be 3 quarters in advance?

6) Is orcl buying back billions in stock each year?

7) Does orcl have 9 billion in the bank?

Most importantly, does msft have Larry Ellison running the zoo?

I don't think so.
