"Why would you pay $1 for Mona Lisa? But you would".

---- because I like and enjoy her smile - so it has entertainment value for me. Aside if I own it and all people around me see that I own it, then social respect will give a lot of privileges or discounts which otherwise I do not have.

Who will see my Bitcoing purse? --- and how will I get relaxed if looking at it? no entertainment or social value from which I can benefit IMHO

Same argument can be made about many items from your example, and to me it is obviously you did not get the essence of the Bible or Torah - as a philosophical book of human nature, for the newcomers to this world to learn ---- so it has tremendous educational value and ability for saving you from serious trouble (more so the extended book called Tanahk - or the Hebrew Bible)

As I do not wish to go into a theological discussion I will leave it at that - it is my personal opinion.
