It may be that I misunderstood, you, so apologies.

As to the Hebrew Bible I strongly recommend to read part of it but you need imagination to understand the true message and just ignore the nonsense about GOD etc.,

Many of the stories themselves are very insightful in human nature, but you must adapt the story moral to today's social economic environment.

One easy example is the Song of Song, very sensual writing if you know how to interpret it and the same issues that are now between lovers where also then.

If you think hills are hills of Jerusalem then you missed the essence of the song. Think more sexual oriented and then you will understand the hills issue.

But there are many other writing that are full of wisdom, like the Book of Job, a must read for any entrepreneur to overcome the difficulties of life and start ups. Not to mention the Prophets who discuss same social economic issues that we are faced also today.

The Bridegroom Praises the Bride
1 Behold, thou art fair, my love;
behold, thou art fair;
thou hast doves' eyes within thy locks:
thy hair is as a flock of goats,
that appear from mount Gil'e-ad.
2 Thy teeth are like a flock of sheep that are even shorn,
which came up from the washing;
whereof every one bear twins,
and none is barren among them.
3 Thy lips are like a thread of scarlet,
and thy speech is comely:
thy temples are like a piece of a pomegranate within thy locks.
4 Thy neck is like the tower of David builded for an armory,
whereon there hang a thousand bucklers,
all shields of mighty men.
5 Thy two breasts are like two young roes that are twins,
which feed among the lilies.
6 Until the day break,
and the shadows flee away,
I will get me to the mountain of myrrh,
and to the hill of frankincense.
7 Thou art all fair, my love;
