As for the fall of Constantinople (1453) to the young Ottoman ruler Mehmet II & that migration of Greek & non Greek scholars to Italy that was covered here back in oct, dimmy, sorry you lose again moron. Message 29168733 Many immigrants & Greek and non-Greek intellectuals fled the city before and after the siege, with a majority of them migrating to Italy, which helped fuel the Renaissance after that fall. But also in cutting off the trade routes to China & asia forced the Europeans to seek sea routes, forcing them to step up a technological revolution & arms race, becoming great sea powers after. The main point i was making besides the above was noting the population of that city of only 50,000 then. Do you know what the population is now dimwit? Its around 14,000,000 people now in Istanbul, and that doesnt shock you, nor would i ever expect the significance of this to shock you, its too simple really for brains as calcified & regressed as your own.
