Look out AOL, here comes real competition for the high value customer and his/her attendant advertising revenues: biz.yahoo.com

Subscriber numbers drive advertising revenues. AOL.com is continuing to build out. Lets speculate into the future - maybe AOL will buy XCIT, or some other search engine. Maybe AOL will offer free e-mail (ala Yahoo, hotmail, etc. etc.). Maybe AOL will migrate more and more to the web via AOL Studios. The web will be integrated into the client...

As for users and sophistication, there are a lot of consumers out there that don't even know what the hell a right click on the mouse is! Setting up AOL is a breeze - setting up MSN by comparison is a nightmare for a newbie. I consider most on this thread "sophisticated" users, but the potential for new users far outweighs those that have made the switch.

BTW, HTML is already integrated into Rainmain. Obviously not a total robust conversion, but integrated. It should be transparent to the user regardless.
