WR,
How do you know EnglandFranceGermanyRusiaChina will let him do whatever he wants to?
Obama didn't get permission from them before starting "secret negotiations" with Iran a year ago.

I'm optimistic about the negotiations, but at this point it just seems like Obama is trying to rescue his own legacy with regard to foreign policy.

That's why Benghazi matters. It's all in the context of Obama's support for the Arab Spring and how that completely blew up in his face. Same with his chemical weapons fiasco. After talking tough (i.e. proving he doesn't want to be isolationist), he then lets a dictator get away with gassing his own people.

I wouldn't be surprised if, in the process of these multi-party talks, Obama finds himself relegated to the sidelines, even after laying the groundwork for getting them started in the first place.
