<<< I hardly think Oracle could create something this late in the
game. As a potential competitior to CKFR, they aren't.

Oracle could be a great partner for CheckFree, they could link all those merchants to Checkfree's E-Bill, CheckFree could process all those payments. Both companies win.>>>

I wonder if they're talking.

I'm glad to know Oracle isn't likely to be a competitor.

CKFR's footprint keeps getting bigger. :)

In related to Oracle news, does anybody on this thread know Checkfree's plan to capture the corporate bill payment/trasaction market ? What I have seen so far is, it seems CKFR is primarily working with banks and utility companies which has more to do with individual's payment and transaction. They did not mention anything about corporate part of their business. I am sure they will capture some of those futurecorporate transaction business through the banks. But what if the corporates find a way to bypass the banks in the future ? Possible ?

The reason I am asking this question is, I found in the past that it is easy to make money from the corporates thanfrom the individuals. This has been the case for the airline industry, for the long distance phone companies, and for the computer manufacturers ....They essentially rely on the corporate market for a healthy profit margin.

Any information or clarification will be appreciated.

<<<<<Unfortuneately, Oracle has two problems, they can't seem to execute very well on new initiatives and they have nothing to do the bill payment piece.

.......don't worry about orcl in this area--they are in a bit of chaos--sales of dbase up only 3%, sybase and ifmx, catching them on quality and price--they can't catch ckfr--ckfr is too focused in this niche.
