Let me ask you .. how do people determine which doctors, hospitals etc are covered by a new Obamacare policy? I guess you can call your doctor's office and ask if he takes yadda yadda insurance. Unlike our fake doctor pubo, most doctor's offices can answer that kind of question.

.....good question.... In my case, NY has their own web site........not the national one. When I first looked at the Health Republic Platinum plan offered on the New York State of Health web site, the feature to check to see if your doctor(s) and hospital would accept Health Republic insurance was NOT functional. So, I went directly to the Health Republic site and their checking feature was working and I found my personal physician and cardiologist as well as my hospital listed . Health Republic subcontracts with the NY city based Magna Care network. Just to check, I called my doctor, cardiologist and hospital (billing departments) to verify. All claimed they did not accept Health Republic Insurance....in fact they never heard of them. I had to explain to them that Health Republic is a new insurance company and only started offering policies in NY in Oct and were in the Magna Care network as well..... I had to FORCE each to do their dew diligence and research my claim and get back to me with a definitive answer. It took over a week to get confirmation and apologies from each. I don't know how one goes about it on the federal site if the checking software is not functional but I suspect contacting your Insurance Provider directly or doctor and hospital billing departments will work.
