SPND. Could be a 'hidden value' stock. They sure don't make it easy for me to see what they're about. Website's "news/press releases" are more than a few years outdated. I don't see any presentations listed on their website, assuming they even made any.

I can find the 10-Q though:
spindletopoil.com

They're a profitable company with some real estate income too. Just too many question marks for me though, and I'm not willing now to fight through a company's opaque wall to get more info on it.

Yariy/fertilizers: I continue to hold YARIY and several others. I notice it's announced that ValueAct Capital has started a new position in MOS. I'll follow along with an initial few share buy of that one.

Positive article here: finance.yahoo.com
(Fwiw, regarding two other stocks mentioned therein, I have my VLO position. ALSN, I keep passing on-- looks too expensive for me.)

Negative MOS article here: finance.yahoo.com

My top (>2.5%) positions in no particular order: GLW, MGDDY, JPM, MSFT, MHNB/C, DRAGF, CF. In: MHNB/C
Fixed income: ~17%
Cash: ~17%

New positions: DE, BK, MHNC, GFN
Positions increased: NOV, BAMXY, YARIY
Positions reduced: MHNB, PFHO, CYOU
Positions eliminated: AFSI, NICK
Flip-flop: AFSI-A

The biggest drama in this month was negative writeup on AFSI on Seeking Alpha that plunged the stock, its prefs and also prefs and notes of related MHLD. I sold some MHNB before drama, but bought some AFSI-A before drama too. Once the shit hit the fan, I decided to sell AFSI common that was not cheap and convert most of AFSI-A to MHNC. I also added some MHNC as it seemed cheap. So I ended up with a lot of MHNC, a little of MHNB and AFSI-A and no AFSI.

NICK was acquired with almost no premium. I decided to sell the shares rather than wait for exchange.

Established new positions in DE - not very cheap, but somewhat attractive if this is not the top of the cycle (which many people somewhat persuasively argue it is). Bought some BK - following Buffett&co here. It seems cheapish and I don't want to add more JPM right now. Established new initial position in GFN - I kinda liked the Value Investing Letter writeup about it. I am not sure I like it enough to build large position.

Added some NOV, BAMXY, YARIY. YARIY is cheap with same caveat as DE (although a bit different issues). NOV is not cheap, but tolerable. Same with BAMXY. These are possibly buys at a frothy market when I should not be buying.

Sold some more PFHO. It's banging its head at 2.5% of my portfolio and I don't trust it to be a large position. Also it is not cheap anymore.

Sold some CYOU - losing my trust and patience with it.

Overall, I still don't see very attractive buys, but also don't want to sell much. Positions turning into long term holds... :)
